The Town of Chili is holding a meeting next week on coyotes after hearing concerns from residents.
Town Supervisor David Dunning says he has invited DEC Senior Wildlife Biologist Scott Smith to speak with residents on how to deal with the animals.
“It is important that our residents are aware of the coyote population in our area” said Supervisor Dunning, “and they are educated and informed so that they, and their pets, can be safe from the risks the coyotes impose.”
The presentation will cover rabies, pet attacks, and human attacks along with other issues.
