Fire investigators are on the case after a fire on Champlain Street in Rochester.
Multiple calls came in just after 3:00 Thursday morning.
Responding firefighters saw flames on the exterior foundation area of the home, and the front porch. They made quick work of the fire before it was able to spread into the house.
Nobody was inside.
We’re told there was an odor of gas in the area. Fire investigators are working to determine if the smell is connected to the cause of that fire.
