Cancer patients get artwork made by Webster Thomas students

Local News

Some local cancer patients got a boost Wednesday from a group of high school students.

Wednesday afternoon, patients at Rochester General Hospital’s Lipson Cancer Institute were presented with artwork created by students from Webster Thomas High School. The paintings will replace windows that have been covered due to construction of the Sands-Constellation Center for critical care.

“They did a great job,” said Saule Pilati, patient. “It makes it even more pleasant to be here. You wouldn’t think that a cancer center would be pleasant but it is, addition to the staff. They might have to be put number one.”

Some of the art students and their teacher visited the cancer center so patients and staff could thank them in person.
