BROCKPORT, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - The College at Brockport will be taken over by children this week for one of the best summer camps around.
Camp Abilities is a week long summer camp that brings children who suffer from visual impairments together. Every day they'll enjoy something new like horseback riding, paddle boarding or swimming for the first time.
The camp organizer says the goal is to let kids know, their abilities are endless.
"Teaching kids with visual impairments is where you can really learn what works and what doesn't work. You make a couple mistakes but we're here to supervise and encourage as opposed to being in a school district on your own and trying to figure it out with a class of 30 kids," said Dr. Lauren Lieberman.
The camp is celebrating its twenty-third year in Brockport. It will run though next Saturday.
