The Brighton Police Patrol Association (BPPA) hosted a luncheon and awards ceremony on Sunday afternoon for the Brighton Police Department at Pane Vino on the Avenue in Rochester.
Several officers with BPD were recognized for their work.
Two citizens and two BPD officers were formally recognized for their efforts in reviving an individual named Alexander Cohen who was in full cardiac arrest as the result of a crash on Route 441 on April 11.
A medical student stopped at the scene and got Cohen to start breathing again.
