The Henrietta Fire District held a public vote Tuesday to approve a bond for the purchase of a new ladder truck.

The vote passed by a margin of 95 in favor to 13 against.

The station’s current truck is 12-years-old and has nearly 100,000 miles on it. The fire district says they, along with the truck committee, will now begin the process of designing and laying out the new apparatus. Construction and delivery will be at least a year away.
