The bodies of two snowmobilers have finally been found, after they went missing on Coneus Lake a little over a week ago. The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office says Jason Fluet and Christopher Copeland were snowmobiling at the north end of the lake when they disappeared.
The Livingston County sheriff confirmed the search is finished tonight, leaving Conesus Lake silent. Now both the families and officials are coping after these long 5 days of search and recovery.
The search was focused on the Northern end of Lake Conseus with drones, sonar equipment, and divers. Today, both large and small boats were out on the lake to increase search efforts. The Livingston County Sheriff said the bodies were found about 200 feet apart from one another along with the snowmobile.
The sheriff said he was praying to find the victims today and with this unusually warm weather for February, he says his prayers were answered.
