A bill being considered by state lawmakers would expand the use of medical marijuana.

If passed, medical marijuana could be used as an alternative to opioids for pain management.

A patient’s pain would be bad enough to impact basic, everyday functions — and previous pain management techniques would have to fail.

Medical marijuana is already for the treatment of chronic pain in New York.
