Benefit for Irish Children’s Program of Rochester

There was Irish dancing and more Sunday in honor of the Irish Children’s Program of Rochester.
The annual spring fundraiser for the program was held at Rick’s Prime Rib in Gates.
The Irish Children’s Program brings Catholic and Protestant children from Northern Ireland to Rochester for the summer.
The program started in 1982 at the height of the unrest in Northern Ireland.  Though there is peace now, segregation remains.
The local program is raising money to bring children to Rochester in summer 2020.
