Benefit concert Saturday for hurricane relief

The City of Rochester, in association with the Puerto Rican Festival, Inc. and many other organizations, will hold a benefit event to help Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Islands recover from the devastation of Hurricane Maria.  

The benefit will take place at Parcel 5 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday.

The benefit will feature:

 Latino bands:

  •  Orquesta Antonetti Featuring Marlon Fernandez,
  • Afrikan2,
  • La Muralla ,
  • Calle Uno ,
  • 5 Con Swing …

Freestyle Artist:

  • Michelle “Sweet and Sassy” Nieves
  • Eric Joel Sifre,

Poetry by:

  • Henry Padron
  • School #12

Dance Performance by:

  • Borinquen Dance Theatre

As well as:

  • DJ Aly Khan 
  • DJ Chris Starks,
  • Poder 97.1 FM 
  • Rochester award winner of the Best Latin DJ category Johnny Mambo

Donations of money, water, non-perishable items, and medical supplies will be accepted.

Proceeds and donations will go to the Red Cross, which is facilitating aid to disaster victims. All non perishables will be taken to the NYS Police Barracks for delivery to Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Islands affected by Hurricane Maria.
