A video is making it’s way across the internet this week, after a father recorded his son being taken out of his swaddle.
Kent Siri says every time he unwraps his son, Kaden, from his swaddle, his arms pop up over his head.
“His arms would just shoot up, as if they were loaded with springs,” he said.
Kent says that Kaden startles easily, so swaddling helps.
Kent and his wife, Tara, began recording their son when he was still a newborn to share with friends and family. Then, they started adding music.
He originally shared the video on his personal Facebook last Friday, but after 100 million views, he and his wife wanted to keep their personal lives a bit more private- and so became KPtheBaby‘s social media presence.
Since Kent, Tara, and Kaden live in Boston, the videos are a way his grandmother, Gena, can stay connected over 200 miles away in Vermont.
Gena’s sister, Patricia, who lives out of state, was thrilled to see Kaden’s video making people smile across the country.
“Family is everything to us, and my sister is an extraordinary mom with both of her children,” said Patricia. “Now, to see this with her grandchild is just incredibly heartwarming to see her embrace this.”
“One of the most beautiful things in the world is to see a really well-loved baby, and that’s what Kaden is,” said Gena. “So we’re really lucky.”
Kaden’s dad says he’s not sure how long he’ll keep posting, or how he’ll tell Kaden when he’s older.
