Anti-bullying event held in Rochester

Local News

Dozens of people came out Saturday afternoon to Skate Luvers Roller Palace in Rochester, but it wasn’t to do some roller skating.

An event was held to raise awareness of bullying among young people, and to get the community involved in finding ways to stop the bullying. The event was held in collaboration with “His Way Ministry” and the “Stop the Bullying” campaign.

“Bullying is a big problem, a huge problem that we have in schools,” says event organizer Jeannell Wilson. “I’ve found out so many young people have been bullied and it hurts my heart and I pray that I can do more to help.”

This was the third year for the event.
