Rochester Amerks Supporting Try Hockey For Free Day

As part of Saturday’s nationwide initiative to encourage more kids to try hockey, USA Hockey and participating programs are welcoming kids ages 4 to 9 to come to a local participating rink to try youth hockey free of charge.

This month is NHL’s “Come Play Hockey Month” and Amerks Vice President of Business Operations Rob Kopacz says Saturday’s program is a “great initiative offered by USA Hockey and one that the Rochester Americans are happy to support.”

The Amerks will support the efforts of local youth hockey programs by having the team’s mascot, The Moose, as well as staff at the following rinks.

  • 11:00 a.m.: Thomas Creek Ice Arena- 80 Lyndon Rd, Fairport, NY 14450
  • 12:00 p.m.: Lakeshore Hockey Arena- 123 Ling Rd, Rochester, NY 14612
  • 2:00 p.m.: Bill Gray’s Regional Iceplex- 2700 Brighton Henrietta Town Line Rd, Rochester, NY 14623

Any kids that participate will receive a voucher for a complementary kid’s ticket to the Amerks home game on Friday, November 18th with the purchase of an adult ticket.
