Media personalities, including News 8’s Allison Warren, rappelled down the First Federal Plaza building on Thursday, May 12 – for the kids.

As part of the 21 Stories for Scouts fundraiser, people rappel 309 feet (or 21 stories) down the outside of the First Federal Plaza.

The event supports disadvantaged youth, especially in urban environments, in the Scouting program be able to fully participate in all that Scouting offers, such as attending summer camp as well as ensuring the affordability of books and uniforms.

Area county and state representatives will serve as “Celebrity Greeters” throughout the day, meeting each rappeller after their descent to congratulate them on their achievement and support of the Boy Scouts.
