Governor Cuomo has proposed allowing movie theaters to serve alcoholic beverages inside the theater. Currently, only theaters that provide table service are allowed to serve alcoholic beverages inside the theater.
The Little Theatre serves alcohol in their cafe attached to the movie theater, but this proposal would allow patrons to enjoy their beverages from the comfort of their seats.
Scott Pukos, public relations coordinator for The Little says this would be great for business, saying “any incentive we can give people to come in to the theater.”
The proposal would only allow movie-goers to buy one alcoholic beverage at a time, and would only sell to ticket holders seeing PG-13 and above movies.
