Albany murder suspect arrested in Brockport

A man wanted by the Albany Police Department for a homicide that occurred on Father’s Day was arrested in Brockport.

Richard Duckett, 20, allegedly fatally shot Terrance Roberts, 46, at a family gathering on June 18. Roberts suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his body and head. 

The Fugitive Task Force in Rochester received information from the Fugitive Task Force in Albany that Duckett was potentially staying with a friend in the Rochester area.

With the assistance of the New York State Police, Rochester Police Department, and Monroe County Sheriff’s, the U.S. Marshals Task Force was able to locate Duckett in Brockport.

He was arrested without incident and turned over to the Albany Police Department.
