AG: You must contact Spectrum to get your free video streaming

Local News

As part of a settlement with the state, Spectrum has started issuing credits to customers, but you will need to call the company to cash in on another perk.

As part of that agreement made last year, after the state said Spectrum failed to deliver on internet speeds for customers, Spectrum agreed to offer free video streaming services to affected customers.

Those services, according to the attorney general, include:

  • Current subscribers who subscribe to both internet and cable television from Spectrum will have a choice of either three (3) months of HBO OR six (6) months of Showtime. (Note: This benefit is available to subscribers who do not already subscribe to both of the offered services through Spectrum.)
  • Internet only subscribers will get one (1) month of Spectrum TV Choice streaming service—in which subscribers can (depending on their location) access broadcast television and a choice of 10 pay TV networks—as well as access to Showtime for one (1) month.

However, to take advantage of the services, customers have to call Spectrum at 1-833-422-8795.

Attorney General Letitia James says customers must call Spectrum by May 30.

James is asking customers who go through the process to answer a survey.
