The AB Youth All-American Classic kicked on Saturday in Rochester.
Children in third grade through eighth grade traveled as far as South Carolina and Texas for the two-day camp. It pairs them with intense practices and access to recruiters.
The AB game was named after Anthony Brown, Jr. who was tragically murdered in December of 2016. Brown loved the game of football and played at Gates Chili High School and Morrisville College.
His mother, Sheri Medina said she’s so thankful for the community’s continued support.
“It’s amazing… it’s amazing and emotional to see the t-shirts, backpacks and flags with my son’s name… but it’s amazing. There’s no better way to keep his memory alive,” said Medina.
The main purpose of the game is to show children where their talents and academic can take them with the proper guidance and exposure.
