Non-profit youth horsemanship program may close

PITTSFORD, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - A Horse's Friend, a non-profit, urban youth horsemanship program, started a GoFundMe page seeking donations to buy its home High View Farm in order to save the program.

The mission of A Horse's Friend is to expose youth from the inner city and underserved populations to new and successful opportunities with horses.

The 14-year-old program has helped more than 2,500 of Rochester's youth and has worked Rochester youth groups and organizations such as: Villa of Hope, The Rochester City School District, ABVI, Clinton Baden Street Recreational Center, and Quad A for Kids.
