17 nurses were honored at the 8th Annual Nurse of the Year Awards Gala Friday night in Rochester.
Nurses in the greater Rochester area were nominated by their peers and community members for their hard work and dedication in the healthcare field. The March of Dimes hosted the celebration, honoring this year’s nurses for their compassion for patients and leadership in the field.
“The work they do for this community is astonishing,” said Development Manager for the Rochester area March of Dimes Karyn Benetti. “It’s really important that we have a night to bring them all together and to celebrate them because there are so many people who have been touched by a nurse and it’s just really great to get them all together in one room and feel that energy.”
Funds raised by the Gala help support the March of Dimes as they lead the fight for the health of all moms and babies.
