Over 300 Diocese of Rochester parishioners boarded buses Friday morning to travel to the nation’s Capitol for the 46th annual March for Life.
The march is held every year on the anniversary of the historic U.S. Supreme Court Roe v. Wade decision, which legalized abortion in the United States.
“There are people who really want to say there are alternatives,” Suzanne Stack, the life issues coordinator at Diocese of Rochester. “We don’t have to destroy our unborn children in order to have women’s rights, in order to have a fair society. There’s options we can learn to care for each other in a more positive way.”
Buses left from Rochester and the Southern Tier. The March for Life is the largest pro-life event held in the United States.
