Three Seneca Falls residents are arrested following an investigation into kidnapping and extortion.
The Seneca Falls Police Department, Town Police, and members of the New York State Police executed a search warrant at 25 Miller St.
The search warrant and arrests stem from a week-long kidnapping and extortion investigation where a 27-year old Seneca Falls resident was held against his will at the residence for about 28 hours until a sum of money was paid.
Bryan Gonyou, Sr., 39, Jesse Dillsworth, 34, and Lisa Freer, 37, all residents of 25 Miller St., were each charged with two counts of first-degree kidnapping, first-degree conspiracy, second-degree grand larceny, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police say the child endangerment charge is due to a 15-year-old child being present during the incident.
Gonyou, Sr. is also charged with second-degree harassment.
Dillsworth is also charged with second-degree menacing and second-degree harassment.
All three were arraigned in Seneca Falls Town Court and sent to the Seneca County Correctional Facility without bail.
They are scheduled to reappear in court on May 11 for a preliminary hearing.
