2016 Rochester Fringe Festival attendance breaks records

Local News

Attendance at the Rochester Fringe Fest, an annual event the showcases creative and eclectic performances, broke attendance records once again.

Organizers announced on Wednesday that around 67,000 people attended. That’s up 4,000 from last year.

Organizers also announced KeyBank will now be the title sponsor.

“It’s an event that highlights all of the things that are great about Rochester,” said KeyBank Rochester Market President Jim Barger. “It gets people downtown in Rochester, to the cultural center of Rochester, and highlights why we love our community so much.”

Organizers are already working on booking acts for next year’s Rochester Fringe, which will take place from September 14 to September 23.
