A fourteen year old girl in Wayne County is being called a fighter after police say she was attacked while jogging. The Macedon Police are turning to the community for help in locating the suspects involved.

The Macedon Police tells News 8 they received a call around 7:30 Thursday evening that 14-year-old girl was jogging in the area of Eddy Road near Route 350 when two women in a minivan approached her. Police say they asked for directions to the nearest store.

Sergeant Steve MacNeal was dispatched to scene. He tells us one woman exited the van, grabbed the girl’s arm and punched her in the face. The victim punched back and then ran into the woods.

The suspects eventually left the scene. MacNeal said the women drove a dark red or maroon minivan.

“The van was described as being very muddy and had cardboard taped to the roof near the rear driver side windows. It’s also believe the front driver tire side is flat,” MacNeal said.

The driver of the minivan is described as a white female in her mid-40s with a short “bob” hairstyle. There is no description of the second individual involved, although she is believed to be a female as well.

Anyone with details on this incident is asked to call the Macedon Police at (315) 986-4121.
