The 12th Fairport Music Festival will be held Friday and Saturday, August 26 and 27, in the Village of Fairport.
One of the Festival organizers Mike Guerrein, Stephanie Sheets from Golisano Children’s Hospital, and local musician Marty Roberts discussed the event and offered a musical preview Friday on News 8 at Noon.
Proceeds from the Fairport Music Festival benefit the programs at Golisano Children’s Hospital in Rochester. It’s expected this year’s Festival will bring the total amount of money raised and donated through the years over the $1 million mark.
The music begins Friday at 5:00 p.m. with Jumbo Shrimp, Adam Ezra Group and Alan Doyle & Beautiful Gypsies.
The music continues Saturday at Noon with all local performers on four stages: the North Stage – Railroad, South Stage – Canal, East Stage – FMC and Fairport Brewing Company Stage.
There will also be indoor performances at the Tow Path Cafe and B-Side.
Pre-event tickets may be purchased at participating Fairport merchants for $15. Tickets may also be purchased at the event for $20.
