UPDATE: Police say school is safe after threat

A large police presence is at Irondequoit High School this Monday morning after a threat was made against the school.

District Communications Director Jeff DiVeronica confirmed a threat was made to the school around 12:30 a.m. Monday.

We’re told the person who made the threat is talking with police. DiVeronica could not say if the person who made the threat is a student, nor the nature of the threat.

Students are in class.

We’re told District Superintendent Jeff Crane will provide more information at a 9:00 a.m. press conference outside the high school.
