The first IACKids Fest and Color Dash will be held Sunday, August 23 at the Total Sports Experience in Gates.

Mike Trippany, the Board President for It’s About Caring for Kids (IACKids) discussed the event Wednesday on News 8 at Noon.

The Fest will offer bounce houses, arts and crafts, face painting, a snow ice truck, dunk tank, DJ and games — in addition to 3K Color Dash.  The run, which is open to everyone, will feature four color powder stations where runners will get doused with colors and a giant slip and slide at the finish.

Registration for the Dash is $30.  Proceeds will benefit IACKids, which provides funds for families who are struggling to pay their bills while caring for a sick child or a child in the hospital.  IACKids focuses on middle income families which fall between wealthy families that can afford the added bills and low income families which are eligible for government assistance.

The IACKids Fest and Color Dash will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 880 Elmgrove Road, rain or shine.  For more information about the event, click here.
