Eric Morris took a short break from Brighton High School to go to college.
When he returned, the man who used to be his assistant principal was his boss.
“As a student you could have taken him and put him in meetings, he was that mature in high school, talented musician, very good student, just a lot of integrity,” said Tom Hall, Brighton High principal.
Morris is now back at Brighton teaching Economics, a notoriously difficult subject.
“It is and for a lot of kids it is, but he makes it so intuitive and if we don’t get it, he’s more than happy to come in and set some time aside and really find a way for us to understand it so it’s really great,” said senior Ian Stroszeck, who nominated Morris.
When we asked Morris what he thinks of working where he once learned he said, “It’s a treat, it’s a thrill, it’s a total honor and I’m privileged to be back here, it’s a great place to go to school and a better place to work.”
Morris is also the Freshman class advisor.
