“Dog the Bounty Hunter” says he is on the trail of a fugitive who allegedly threatened to “put a bullet” in President Donald Trump’s head.

The reality TV star – whose real name is Duane Chapman – told the Mansfield News Journal that he has “a very hot lead” on Shawn Christy.

According to the newspaper, Chapman was scheduled to arrive in Mansfield, Ohio on Sept. 27 to participate in an unrelated event.

Chapman said he is being retained by a member of Christy’s family, who he declined to identify.

A massive manhunt has been underway in Ohio for several months after Christy’s threatening post on social media.

Law enforcement officials have called Christy “a clear and present danger.”

“Dog the Bounty Hunter” told the Mansfield News Journal that he doesn’t want to shoot Christy, he wants to get him to surrender.

Additional details are available on the Mansfield News Journal’s website.

WBRE in Scranton has been covering the search for Christy.
