A state task force has proposed changes to the Common Core learning standards.

Changes have been recommended to 60 percent of ELA standards, including streamlining reading standards by merging informational reading and literary reading.

55 percent of math standards were recommended to change, includes better defining standards in algebra one and two, and creating a glossary of verbs associated with math.
