AKRON, NY (WROC) — People who suffer from lactose intolerance can enjoy Perry’s new line of ice cream.
The company says its new dairy-free oat milk-based dessert will mark the first time the western New York ice cream maker has used something other than milk and cream to make its ice cream.
The new Oat Cream line comes in flavors including Apple Strudel, Blueberry Pancake, Coconut Caramel, Oat Latte, Peanut Butter Coffee Cake, Peanut Butter & Cookies and Snickerdoodle.
In a news release, Perry’s CEO Robert Denning writes, “The creamy texture of the oat milk and mild oat flavor means taste and consistency are not compromised for the dairy-free product. The indulgent flavors are truly delicious, and we’re excited to serve a wider population that may not have always been able to enjoy our products in the past.”
Along with being non-dairy, the new ice cream line is also vegan.
