Misfit Doughnuts moving to new spot on Gregory St. after Monroe Ave. fire

ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) — Misfit Doughnuts is moving after a huge fire on Monroe Avenue ripped through their old building, leaving them temporarily out of business.

In an Instagram post, the doughnut shop says it is moving into a spot at 133 Gregory Street in Rochester’s South Wedge.

“We are very excited to start the next chapter of Misfit Doughnuts and Treats,” the shop writes.

The shop has been closed since the fire on March 27. Last month, police charged Caitlynn Acoff with arson and assault for the massive blaze.

Fifteen people were inside the three-story building, which also houses apartments, when investigators say Acoff started the fire.

When the fire broke out, Misfit Doughnuts was in the midst of an expansion to move into the neighboring space.
