JC Penney could be removed from NYSE

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR) — JC Penney has been warned that it may be removed from the New York State Exchange because its stock has been trading below $1 for too long.

The department store chain has been struggling as more and more people shop online. Attempts to revive the business have faltered with sales at established stores falling for the past three quarters.
