HACHINOHE, JAPAN (KRON) – A significant magnitude 6.4 earthquake hit near Hachinohe, Japan, according to the USGS.
The quake was detected around 9 a.m. pacific time Sunday.
It hit at a moderately shallow depth of 40 km beneath the epicenter near Hachinohe, Hachinohe Shi, Aomori, Japan.
