ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Utility crews continue to work on Empire Boulevard Thursday morning to fix power lines due to a recent car accident, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
At this time, deputies are asking drivers to use a different route for traveling on Empire Blvd. between Creek Street and I-590. MCSO says the area will be shut down until further notice.
The crash involved two cars, with one car crashing into a utility pole, causing a “chain reaction.”
As of 5 a.m. Thursday morning, according to RG&E’s outage list, only four customers are without power in Monroe County — primarily in Webster and Penfield. Over 8,000 customers were without power when the crash initially occurred
