City credit rating upgraded due to RCSD’s improving finances

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Rochester’s credit rating has been upgraded due to improvements in the Rochester City School District.

This according to Moody’s Investor Services. Moody’s cites the continued improvement in the District’s General Fund and an expectation that reserve balances will continue to improve over the next two years.

The City’s credit rating was negative, and has now been upgraded to stable.
