Matt Driffill is News 8 WROC’s digital executive producer, overseeing all website content as well as the station’s social media platforms. He joined the News 8 team in June 2019 and helped lead the station to back-to-back Regional Murrow Awards for Digital Excellence in 2020 and 2021.

A Rochester native, Matt graduated from Eastridge High School before attending SUNY Brockport where he graduated with a focus on electronic journalism. He’s a proud South Wedge resident who enjoys going to concerts with his wife, frequenting local festivals, soaking in the natural beauty of the region, lamenting his beloved Philadelphia 76ers, playing music with his band Continental Drifft, spending time with his nephew, and unplugging from the internet whenever there’s an opportunity to do so.
