Leanne grew up at the Jersey Shore, where she first discovered her love for meteorology after Superstorm Sandy devastated her hometown. At just 12 years old, she knew she wanted a career in weather. 

She went on to study meteorology at Rutgers University. Leanne graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology in May of 2023 along with a double minor in Digital Communications and Environmental Studies. She was involved in the Rutgers Meteorology Club as well as the Rutgers WeatherWatchers Club, a student-run weather production. She was also President of the Rutgers Figure Skating Club. 

Leanne loves the wintertime which made it an easy decision to join the team in Rochester. She grew up as a competitive figure skater and skied in her free time.
