Alexa Ross joined the NEWS 8 sports department in August 2019. 

She’s no stranger to the Empire State. Prior to her time in Rochester, Alexa was the weekend sports anchor/reporter at WICZ in Binghamton, New York covering the professional affiliates for the New York Mets and New Jersey Devils, Binghamton University, and high school sports. 

A Philadelphia native, Alexa attended Temple University’s Klein College of Media and Communication and received a degree in journalism. While she was in college, she worked for NBC Sports in Philadelphia and in South Korea assisting with live coverage of the 2018 Winter Games. 

Alexa is a huge Philadelphia sports fan and is excited to bring her passion for professional football to NEWS 8’s Bills coverage.
