More active, summery weather returns for the start of the new work week with some showers and storms moving through at times today thanks to an upper air disturbance scheduled to move through today, plus a front that will be hanging around into early tonight. The air will dry out somewhat late tonight into Tuesday, which will likely yield more in the way of sun, with just a few more scattered pop-up showers and storms possibly popping Tuesday, as the front approaches the area late in the day. On Wednesday, it looks like a cold front will slip through the area during the morning with a passing shower/storm or two possible through early afternoon Wednesday. Thursday and Friday look great right now, but what about the last unofficial weekend of summer? At this point, Labor Day weekend is looking just fine with more sun, mainly dry weather and quite possibly more heat returning through the holiday itself. Stay tuned for updates!
TODAY: Breezy, warm and muggy with scattered showers and a few storms likely.
TONIGHT: A few showers and storms possibly early followed by some clearing late with areas of fog developing.
TUESDAY: Warm and humid with the slight chance of a few showers or storms, but all in all, much drier.
WEDNESDAY: A shower/storm is possible, but overall it looks mainly dry right now with some sun.
A mandatory evacuation was ordered and classes canceled as hundreds…
