TUESDAY SUNSET: 7:29 PM
A strong warm front moved through late last night/early this morning with some showers and storms. Now that the warm front has passed, mid-summer heat will blow in for late this morning through Wednesday with highs ranging from 90 to 95°, with heat indices, feel like readings, ranging from 95 to 100°!! By the way, the record high today is 94 here in Rochester set way back in 1897, while 94 is also the record for Wednesday set back in 1931. It's going to be close with regards to breaking or tying the record highs the next couple of days. The rest of today and Wednesday will likely be mainly dry with some hazy sun expected and just a spotty storm or two possible this afternoon, and a few scattered storms possibly popping on our Wednesday afternoon and evening. Any storm that pops through midday Thursday ahead and with a strong cold front could become strong to severe. Something we will have to watch closely. Regardless, we will flip the calendar from July to October by week's end once again! Highs on Thursday with showers and storms tapering off later in the day will be in the 70s to around 80, but falling to near 70 by day's end. On Friday with a gusty, chilly wind it will likely be tough to hit 60 with a few lake effect showers possible!! The October feel will continue for much of this upcoming weekend the way it looks now too, but at least it does look sunny after POSSIBLY having to contend with some frost for many by early Sunday! Stay tuned for updates.
