SEPTEMBER PRECIPITATION: 0.38"
WEDNESDAY SUNRISE: 6:38 AM
WEDNESDAY SUNSET: 7:40 PM
Lots of sun will shine through the early to mid afternoon today, before more clouds roll in from the north in advance of a strong backdoor cold front that's expected to cross the area late tonight/early Thursday with a few showers. In the wake of the Wednesday night cold front, the coolest air mass since the spring will blow in on a stiff northerly wind for Thursday with a morning lake shower or two possible, and highs only making it into the low to mid 60s! After near record cold, and maybe even a little frost in the normally colder spots south, another warm up will follow for Friday afternoon and Saturday with a good deal of sun Friday. Highs Friday should make it to around 70, while upper 70s are possible come Saturday afternoon with a gusty, warming breeze, and a few scattered afternoon showers and storms expected Saturday! Cooler air will once again blow in Sunday into the start of next week with highs ranging from about 70 to 75 the way it looks now. There may be a shower or two or a little drizzle around Sunday morning, but we should dry out & sneak at least some sun out during the afternoon, which would be nice for the Bills home and season opener against the Patriots. Stay tuned.
TODAY: Sunshine will fade behind more clouds later in the day with a slight risk for a shower near sunset north.
TONIGHT: Breezy and cooler late with a few showers developing.
THURSDAY: Breezy and very cool with a lake shower or two possible to start the day followed by breaks of afternoon sun.
FRIDAY: Sunny, milder finish after near record cold to start the day.
