The Victor lawyer accomplished the feat on Friday at Victor Hills Golf Course. In total, he raised nearly $3,800 for the House of John Hospice Center in Clifton Springs.
"I'm a little tired. My swing is going okay," he said after finishing hole #88. "The community has been great, the House of John has been great."
Mark's father-in-law Eugene Trosterud spent his final days at House of John before passing last November. Somers says the care that Eugene received was extraordinary and wanted to do all he could to help. He even received donations even during his full day on the links.
"We were on one hole today and two guys waited for us to come up to the green," he added. "They let us play through and then gave us a $30 donation. It's been really great."
Somers began his marathon round at 5:20am and wrapped up at 9:00pm.
