Senior C.J. Fair led all SU players with 19 points and tied with redshirt sophomore Trevor Cooney for a game-high four steals. Cooney was right behind Fair with 17 points while going 5-of-9 from behind the arc. Sophomore Jerami Grantchipped in with 14 points, five boards and a game- and career-high five assists.
Sophomore DaJuan Coleman finished with 13 points and a game-best 10 rebounds and freshman Ron Patterson added a personal-high 10 points.
The Orange shot 45.8-percent (33-72) overall and knocked down 13 three pointers en route to a season-high 93 points. Syracuse out-rebounded Binghamton 45-36, including 21-13 on the offensive glass to give the home team a 28-13 advantage in second-chance points. Syracuse also held a commanding lead in points off turnovers at 34-4.
Freshman Tyler Ennis opened the game with a three, but Binghamton recorded the next 11 points, capped by consecutive three's from Nick Madray, to go up 11-3. SU turned on the full-court press and responded with 18 unanswered points to regain the lead for good at 21-11 with 12:48 left in the half. During the stretch, Cooney scored 11 points, including three trifectas, and the Orange tallied 12 points off of five Binghamton turnovers.
SU extended its margin to 31-15 with 8:23 remaining in the half, finishing off a 28-4 run. The Bearcats would get no closer than 12 points the rest of the game, as Syracuse outscored the visitors 19-7 over the final six and a half minutes of the first half to take a 54-30 advantage into the break.
The Orange continued its dominance in the second half with the lead bouncing between 24 and 37 the rest of the contest. Ahead at 76-48, SU used a 14-5 run to take its largest margin of the night at 90-53 with just over four minutes to go and matched it less than a minute later at 92-55. Coleman notched eight of his 13 points during the spurt.
Binghamton was led by Jordan Reed's 26 points and seven rebounds while Marlon Beck II contributed 14 points and six boards.
Syracuse makes its way to Madison Square Garden to play former Big East rival St. John's on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 12 p.m.
