The Rochester win forces a deciding Game 5 Sunday afternoon back in Chicago. Faceoff is at 4pm.
Brayden Irwin also scored two goals and Kevin Porter assisted three times for the Amerks.
Rochester took control quickly. Armia scored on a rebound 91 seconds into the game. Eight seconds later, Chicago goalie Jake Allen mishandled a Nick Crawford point shot into his own net to put the Amerks up 2-0.
After a Chicago goal, Armia was left on the ocean in the slot and buried a wrister. With 1:11 left in the period, Irwin tipped in a Rasmus Ristolainen shot and Rochester had the game all but wrapped up leading 4-1 after 20 minutes.
Armia spotted Roy emerging from the penalty and fed him for a breakaway goal with 6:34 left in the second. It was the first game Roy played in the series and his first playoff goal was the last shot Allen faced in the game. The AHL's top goal was sent to the bench after stopping just 12 of 17 Rochester shots.
Irwin got credit for the Amerks' 6th goal after Taylor Chorney inadvertantly shot the puck in his own net during a goalmouth scramble.
Johan Larsson closed the scoring in the third period with Rochester's third power play goal of the game.
