It's been a whirlwind year for Rhinos defender Chris Estridge. After a terrific season at Indiana University that resulted in All-American honors for Estridge, he was drafted by the Vancouver Whitecaps of MLS this winter. In April, Estridge was traded from Vancouver to Real Salt Lake. He trained with the team for two months and featured in two RSL Reserve League games before being released. After looking for teams in the NASL and USL Pro, Estridge and his agent agreed that the Rhinos were the best destination.
So far, Estridge has only played in two games for the Rhinos and he's lived in Rochester for less than a week. Immediately after he arrived in Rochester, he was on a plane with the team on the way to road games in Wilmington, NC and Orlando, FL.
The young defender knows that he's joining the Rhinos in the stretch run of their season, but he is poised to make an impact and help the team gain momentum as they head toward the playoffs. Hear from Chris Estridge in this week's Rhinos 1-On-1.
