Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse University men’s basketball assistant Mike Hopkins will remain in the Salt City for the time being, according an ESPN reporter.

Jeff Goodman tweeted on Tuesday morning that neither Hopkins nor St. Bonaventure’s Mark Schmidt were being considered for Boston College head coach position.

Widely considered the most likely replacement should SU’s Hall of Fame coach Jim Boeheim retire, Hopkins has been linked to a number of head coach positions, including USC, Marquette, and Boston College.
