Bills acquire WR Kelvin Benjamin from Panthers

Buffalo sends a 3rd and a 7th round pick back to Carolina

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - The Buffalo Bills have acquired wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin from the Carolina Panthers for a 3rd and 7th round pick.

Benjamin was a 1st round draft pick out of Florida State back in 2014.

He missed all of 2015 with a torn ACL, but has 9 touchdowns in his last 24 games since the injury.

This season, Benjamin has 32 catches for 475 yards, both now team highs on the Bills for wide receivers.

"He's tough, he's big, he's got great hands. He knows how to run routes. He can block. He's going to be way bigger than most of the corners he faes so he can help you in the run game. He'll fit this locker room. The coaches will like him the players will like him its a win for the Buffalo Bills," said Bills GM Brandon Beane.

The 6'5'' target gives Tyrod Taylor another weapon on the outside and provides a boost to a much needed Bills wide receiving core.

Benjamin is reunited with GM Brandon Beane and Head Coach Sean McDermott.
