Blue Devils ends Schroeder's unbeaten start to the season

ROCHESTER - Schroeder 7, Victor 13

The Blue Devils bounced back from their first loss of the season, jumping out to a quick 13-0 lead thanks to a pair of Chris Varrone touchdown runs.

Schroeder made it a one possession game when Brees Segala scored from a few yards out to cut the deficIt to 13-7.

The Warriors forced a pair of fumbles in the second half and got the ball back with three minutes to play and a chance to take the lead.

Victor defense held strong as Sean Delaney picked off Segala to secure the victory.

Blue Devils and Warriors are both 4-1.

Hilton 13, Pittsford 48

Pittsford stormed out of the gate and rolled to a big win over the Cadets. Quarterback Matt LaRocca was highly efficient under center, completing 13 of 16 pass attempts for 170 yards and three touchdowns. 

Senior RB Ali Brooks racked up 117 yards on the ground plus two touchdowns on nine carries.

Pittsford is now 4-1 while Hilton drops to 2-3.

Edison 0, Wilson 33

It took a while for the Wildcats to get going, but once they did, they were nearly unstoppable. A 6-0 lead at halftime gave way to a 27-0 run in the second half for Wilson.

Rickey Gamble Jr. (a.k.a. RGII) caught a touchdown in the first half and returned a fumble 28 yards for a touchdown in ths second half.

Wilson is now 5-0 while Edison drops to 3-2.

Batavia 48 Bishop Kearney 0    

Ray Leach scored four touchdowns, including three in the first half as the Blue Devils improved to 4-1.

Rush Henrietta 7 Churchville-Chili 12

Dah'Jear Mewborn had a 50-yard touchdown run to give the Saints a 7-0 at halftime. Churchville-Chili's defense did the rest. Jared Rose and Naiser Tisdale each had sacks in the first half as the Saints improved to 4-1 this season. 

Penfield 40, Monroe 22

Javion Monroe found the endzone four times and finished with 162 total yards (116 rushing, 46 receiving) as Penfield improves to 2-3 this season while Monroe falls to 1-4.

South Seneca/ Romulus/ Trumansberg 20, C.G. Finney 22

Maliaak Thomas had a 73-yard touchdown run as the Falcons moved to 3-2 on the season.
