Wildcats comeback comes up short in Far West Regional

Wilson finishes the season 9-2

ROCHESTER - It was a slow start for the Wildcats Friday night in the Far West Regional.

Wilson fell behind 14-0 at the end of the first quarter.

Wildcats managed just three first downs in the first half but got on the board when Dasjon Dash found Rickey Gamble Jr. through the snow for a 56-yard touchdown.

West Seneca West lead 21-8 at halftime.

The Indians scored on the opening drive of the second half as Matt Myers scored on a 76-yard run on 3rd down and 7.

Wilson responded with a scoring drive of their own as Dash found the endzone from 11-yard out to make it a two-score game. 

Ensuing drive, the University of Buffalo commit aired it out 74-yards to Kyle Haettich for another Indians score.

A Desi Floyd touchdown cut the deficit down to 33-22 with just under eight minutes remaining in teh 4th quarter but that's as close as Wilson would get.

The Wildcats dream season that saw them capture their first Sectional title in school history comes to an end with a 9-2 record.
